Just had confirmation from my publisher that 'Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops' will be distributed in Australia and New Zealand. Hurrah!

So, booksellers of Down Under. Please send in your best 'Weird Things' to weirdthingsuk at gmail . com. Please follow the guidelines as set out in this post here.

You have until 15th August - go go go x

  1. Yay! Sadly I was never able to achieve my dream of working in a bookstore. I sell gourmet coffee now. We get crazies too!

  2. I'm not a book seller so I have nothing to contribute, but I'm not sure I get the reasoning behind only soliciting anecdotes from countries where the book will be distributed initially.
Incidentally, you'll change it to Diagon Alley for the U.S. edition, right? :-)

  3. Tyler: the idea with this book is to support local bookshops. I don't want to open up submissions worldwide in case we don't sell rights to certain countries. This way I know the book is going to be sold in the places I ask for submissions from, no one submits 'in vain', as it were, and I'm able to keep on top of everything :) x
